[02-03-2026] San Diego County, CA – One Trapped After Two-Vehicle Crash in Fallbrook.webpA two-vehicle collision blocked traffic and left one driver briefly trapped inside a vehicle at a busy Fallbrook intersection in San Diego County on Tuesday evening, February 3, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at around 6:43 p.m. at the intersection of South Mission Road and Hancock Road. 

The collision involved a blue Toyota 4Runner and a dark gray Jeep Wagoneer and was described as a broadside, or T-bone, crash that left both vehicles disabled in the roadway.

Emergency responders from the North County Fire Protection District responded to the scene. CHP logs indicated that the Jeep Wagoneer occupant was unable to open the door after the crash and was trapped inside.

Authorities reported that all lanes on South Mission Road were blocked by the collision. First responders also noted transmission fluid leaking onto the roadway. Tow trucks were requested around 7:00 p.m. to remove both vehicles.

The individuals involved were listed as having injuries of unknown severity. The incident was cleared by emergency crews at approximately 7:47 p.m., and the roadway reopened shortly after, around 7:55 p.m.

The crash remains under investigation.
