[01-31-2026] Orange County, CA – Pedestrian Killed After Being Struck by Vehicle in Huntington Beach.webpA 31-year-old pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle in Huntington Beach on Saturday night, January 31, 2026.

According to the Huntington Beach Police Department, officers responded around 9:00 p.m. to reports of an incident at the intersection of Beach Boulevard and Heil Avenue.

Upon arrival, police found the victim, a Huntington Beach resident, unconscious in the roadway. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim’s name was not immediately released.

Authorities stated that a BMW was traveling northbound on Beach Boulevard when it struck a pedestrian south of the intersection with Heil Avenue. 

The driver, identified as a 23-year-old man from Reseda, remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Authorities indicated that impairment was not believed to be a factor in the incident.

The Huntington Beach Police Department’s Multidisciplinary Accident Investigation Team is handling the investigation. Anyone with information related to the collision is asked to contact HBPD Traffic Investigator C. Houlston at (714) 536-5670.
