[01-30-2026] Solano County, CA – Car Crashes Into Home on Fields Court in Fairfield, One Arrested for DUI.webpA car crashed into a residence in Fairfield, causing structural damage to the home and prompting a response from police and fire crews on Friday evening, January 30, 2026

According to the Fairfield Police Department, officers were notified at about 6:24 p.m. that a vehicle had been speeding on Hancock Drive before driving through a fence and into the back of a home in the 5300 block of Fields Court.

Police said that when officers and Fairfield Fire Department personnel arrived, the vehicle was trapped beneath significant debris, and the two-story residence had visible structural damage. 

Authorities reported that a child inside the home was struck by debris but was safely extricated by firefighters and did not suffer injuries.

The driver was identified as 23-year-old Matthew S. First responders removed him from the wreckage, and he was transported to a hospital for treatment. 

Police said he was later arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.
