[01-29-2026] San Bernardino County, CA – Pedestrian Killed After Being Struck on SR-62 in Morongo Valley

A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a vehicle in Morongo Valley, San Bernardino County, on Thursday morning, January 29, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash was reported just before 5:40 a.m. at the intersection of State Route 62 and Adeline Way. 

Limited details about the circumstances of the collision have been released.

Authorities closed the roadway in the area for several hours as the investigation and traffic control efforts continued. Traffic patterns were adjusted to allow vehicles to move through the area.

CHP reported that both directions of State Route 62 were fully reopened by approximately 10:30 a.m.

The crash remains under investigation.
