A wrong-way DUI crash caused minor injuries on Highway 101 near Santa Maria on Wednesday evening, January 28, 2026.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision was reported at approximately 6:00 p.m. on southbound Highway 101 just north of Highway 166.
Investigators said a suspected DUI driver was traveling northbound in the southbound lanes when the vehicle collided with another car.
CHP officials reported that the crash resulted in minor injuries. No additional details about the individuals involved were released.
The crash remains under investigation.
