A 32-year-old man was killed after being struck by a vehicle while walking in Escondido on Saturday evening, January 25, 2025.
According to the Escondido Police Department, officers responded to a report around 6:00 p.m. of an unconscious man in the roadway at the intersection of Rock Springs and Seven Oaks roads.
Several motorists were found performing CPR on the victim when authorities arrived. Paramedics transported the man to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. His identity has not been released pending notification of his next of kin.
Authorities have not yet provided details regarding the vehicle involved or potential contributing factors in the crash. The investigation remains ongoing.
