[01-23-2026] San Mateo County, CA – Woman Fatally Struck by Vehicle at 17th Ave. and El Camino Real

A woman was fatally struck by a vehicle in San Mateo on Friday morning, January 23, 2026. 

According to the police, the collision occurred at around 10:30 a.m. at the intersection of 17th Avenue and El Camino Real.

Authorities stated that the woman was transported to a hospital, where she later died from her injuries. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
