[01-22-2026] Sacramento County, CA – Pedestrian Killed, Driver Injured in Crash at Iron Point Station in Folsom

A pedestrian was killed, and a driver was taken to the hospital after a crash in Folsom on Thursday afternoon, January 22, 2026.

According to the Folsom Police Department, the vehicle struck the pedestrian around 2:50 p.m. at the Iron Point Station. 

Authorities stated that the impact caused the vehicle to hit a light-rail platform and flip onto the tracks.

In response to the situation, light rail service was suspended in the affected area. Sacramento Regional Transit (SacRT) set up a bus bridge between the Sunrise and Historic Folsom stations to accommodate passengers due to the blocked tracks.

The details of the incident are still being investigated. No further information is immediately available.
