A pedestrian was injured after being struck by a suspected DUI driver in Los Angeles’ Broadway-Manchester neighborhood early Wednesday morning, January 22, 2025.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the collision occurred around 2:27 a.m. at the intersection of South Broadway and Century Boulevard. Officers arrived at the scene to find a pedestrian down in the roadway after being hit by a black pickup truck.
The pedestrian was hospitalized in unknown condition by the paramedics from the Los Angeles Fire Department. Initial reports suggested the victim may have died, but as of mid-morning, no confirmation had been provided by the LAPD.
The driver of the pickup truck underwent field sobriety tests at the scene and was arrested for felony DUI.
LAPD’s South Traffic Division is conducting an investigation into the crash.
