[01-17-2026] Child Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash on Pacific Beach Drive.webpA 6-year-old boy riding a bicycle was killed after being struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run crash on the 1500 block of Pacific Beach Drive near Ingraham Street in San Diego, on Saturday afternoon, January 17, 2026.

According to the San Diego Police Department, the crash occurred around 3:45 p.m. as the child was crossing an alley near Ingraham Street. 

Investigators said a 32-year-old woman driving the vehicle struck the child while turning into the alley, stopped briefly, and then struck him a second time as she fled the scene. The boy was transported to a hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

Authorities said the suspect vehicle was later located in National City, and the driver was taken into custody. Police asked anyone with information related to the incident to contact Crime Stoppers at (888) 580-8477.

The investigation is ongoing.
