A car crashed into the front of a business in a Temecula strip mall, causing major damage and injuring two people in Riverside County on Thursday night, January 15, 2026.
The crash occurred at 8:25 p.m. at the intersection of Temecula Parkway and Butterfield Stage Road, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department. Officials said the motorist lost control and struck the building.
County fire personnel arrived shortly after patrol deputies and found the two occupants of the vehicle suffering from minor to moderate injuries. They were transported to a regional trauma center and were in stable condition on Friday.
No one inside the mall was hurt, though the business sustained extensive damage. The cause of the crash remains unclear, and the motorist has not been arrested. The investigation is ongoing.
