A two-vehicle collision on northbound Interstate 215 in Moreno Valley injured three people, one seriously, and forced the temporary closure of multiple lanes on Wednesday, January 14, 2026.
The crash occurred just before noon near Cactus Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Riverside County Fire Department crews and sheriff’s deputies were the first to respond to the scene, closing three of four northbound lanes.
The incident involved a van and a Chevrolet pickup, resulting in one of the vehicle occupants being ejected onto the center divider.
The victim ejected onto the center divider was taken to Riverside University Medical Center in critical condition. Another victim suffered moderate injuries and was also transported to the same hospital, while the third victim sustained minor injuries and declined further medical attention.
The exact circumstances behind the collision are still under investigation.
