A female pedestrian was struck and killed after a hit-and-run collision in Antioch on Tuesday evening, January 14, 2025.
According to Antioch Police Lt. Joe Njoroge, the incident occurred around 6:10 p.m. in the 3000 block of Wilbur Avenue, approximately half a mile west of State Highway 160.
Officers arrived to find the woman unresponsive on the ground. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have not released the victim’s identity or age.
The driver fled the scene, and the circumstances leading to the crash are still under investigation.
