A female pedestrian was killed after being struck in a hit-and-run collision in Chula Vista on Sunday evening, January 11, 2026.

According to the Chula Vista Police Department, officers responded around 5:30 p.m. near the intersection of North Greensview Drive and Park Meadows Road.

Police and Chula Vista firefighters attempted life-saving measures at the scene before the victim was transported to a hospital, where she was later pronounced dead. Authorities have not released the woman’s name or age.

Police said the driver involved fled the scene, and a vehicle description was not immediately available. The CVPD Traffic Bureau is handling the investigation.
