[01-11-2026] Riverside County, CA – Motorcyclist Killed After Crash at Calhoun St. and Ave. 42 in Indio

A 62-year-old motorcyclist was killed after a crash involving a passenger vehicle at the intersection of Calhoun Street and Avenue 42 in Indio on Sunday afternoon, January 11, 2026.

According to the Indio Police Department, the collision was reported around 4:10 p.m. and involved a motorcycle and a Honda sedan driven by a 20-year-old man. 

Authorities said the motorcyclist sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs, where he was later pronounced dead.

The Riverside County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Jerry B. of Indio. Police said the driver of the Honda remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Alcohol and drugs were not believed to be factors in the collision.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
