[01-09-2026] Three-Vehicle Collision Disrupts Traffic on Eastbound SR-76 Near Gird Rd..webpTraffic on eastbound State Route 76 was disrupted following a three-vehicle collision near Gird Road in San Diego County on Friday evening, January 9, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash was reported at approximately 7:45 p.m. and involved three vehicles: a van, an unknown sedan, and a white sedan. 

Emergency responders, including Engine 115 and Medic 115, were dispatched to the scene for the traffic collision on State Route 76 near Gird Road.

At 7:48 p.m., CHP requested a tow truck for a Toyota Corolla that was unable to move. By 8:01 p.m., CHP units had blocked the number one and two lanes to manage the scene.

Initially reported with unknown injuries, the situation was later updated to include an ambulance en route to the scene.

The cause of the collision is under investigation.
