[01-09-2025] Motorcyclist Suffers Major Injuries in Crash on Highway 20 in NiceA motorcyclist sustained major injuries following a collision with a vehicle on Highway 20 near the Dollar General in Nice, Lake County, on Thursday evening, January 9, 2025.

The California Highway Patrol reported that the crash occurred shortly after 6 p.m. The motorcyclist was found lying in the middle turning lane with the motorcycle down.

Firefighters responded to the scene and blocked the road in both directions. An air ambulance was requested to meet emergency crews at Sutter Lakeside Hospital’s helipad.

The motorcyclist was airlifted out of the county for treatment of major injuries.

The CHP is investigating the cause of the collision.
