According to the Oakland Police Department, the incident occurred shortly before 11:00 a.m. in the 400 block of 30th Street. 

Responding officers discovered an unresponsive individual with major injuries. Paramedics arrived on the scene and pronounced the individual dead.

Initial reports indicate the incident was work-related, though details regarding the workplace remain unclear. Construction activity was reported at the location.

The identity of the deceased has not yet been released.

The OPD is actively investigating the incident.
