A FAX bus was struck by a vehicle that ran a red light in Fresno on Wednesday morning, January 7, 2026.
According to the Fresno Police Department, the crash occurred around 10:15 a.m. at the intersection of Shields Avenue and First Street.
The bus was traveling northbound on First Street and approaching Shields Avenue when a vehicle traveling west on Shields Avenue ran the red light and struck the bus. The collision caused the first vehicle to strike a second vehicle.
The bus was removed from the scene before reporters arrived. Four people who were on the bus, as well as both drivers of the vehicles, were taken to the hospital.
The investigation is ongoing.
