[01-05-2026] Los Angeles County, CA – One Killed in Crash on Transition From 105 Freeway to 605 Freeway in Norwalk

One person was killed in a crash on the transition from the eastbound Glenn Anderson (105) Freeway to the southbound San Gabriel River (605) Freeway in Norwalk early Monday morning, January 5, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash was reported at approximately 12:44 a.m. 

A witness reported to the CHP that a yellow truck and a black SUV collided, and the yellow truck may have left the roadway. One person was pronounced dead at the scene.

CHP requested Caltrans to establish a hard closure of the transition road while the collision was investigated. Authorities said the transition was reopened at approximately 3:30 a.m.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
