[01-02-2026] Pedestrian Killed After Being Struck Near Oceanside Boulevard and College Boulevard in Oceanside.webpA pedestrian was killed after being struck by a vehicle near the intersection of Oceanside Boulevard and College Boulevard in Oceanside on Friday evening, January 2, 2026.

According to the Oceanside Police Department, officers responded around 7:19 p.m. to a reported fatal traffic collision. 

Preliminary information indicated that a black Ford Mustang traveling eastbound on Oceanside Boulevard struck an adult male pedestrian who was seated on the center median just east of the intersection. The pedestrian suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said the driver of the Mustang, also an adult male, remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Authorities noted that drugs or alcohol were not believed to be factors in the crash. The victim’s identity has not been released pending notification of next of kin.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
