[01-02-2026] At Least Two Treated After Crash on State Route 14 in NewhallAt least two people were treated for possible injuries following a traffic collision on State Route 14 in Newhall, Los Angeles County, on Friday morning, January 2, 2026.

According to the California Highway Patrol Newhall-area Office, the crash was reported around 11:05 a.m. 

Witnesses told CHP that a tow truck involved in the collision fell off the freeway and landed on Sierra Highway at Dockweiler Drive. 

Authorities said another vehicle involved in the crash came to rest on its roof. It was not immediately clear which direction the vehicles were traveling at the time of the collision.

The Los Angeles County Fire Department responded and treated a driver and a passenger from one of the vehicles after they were extricated. Fire officials said no hospital transports were reported, and the extent of any injuries was not immediately known.

The investigation is ongoing.
