[01-01-2026] San Bernardino County, CA – Pedestrian Killed After Being Struck by Vehicle Near Bryant Street and Cornell Drive in Yucaipa

A 42-year-old pedestrian was killed after being struck by a vehicle in Yucaipa on New Year’s Day, January 1, 2026.

According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, the crash was reported at 7:12 p.m. near the intersection of Bryant Street and Cornell Drive.

Police said the driver of a gray 2021 Toyota Tacoma was traveling southbound on Bryant Street when the vehicle struck Ryan R., 42, of Yucaipa, in the roadway. Ryan was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Toyota driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. The sheriff’s department confirmed that drugs or alcohol were not factors in the collision, and there was no indication of speed or negligence contributing to the crash.

The investigation is ongoing.
